Wild Walk - Wagawn / Bushrangers Cave

One of Binna Burra’s most popular off-track hikes. We hike the Border Track from Binna Burra to Wagawn then follow a spur down to spectacular Bushrangers Cave (a great spot for a cooling rest). We then jump over the border fence and follow it to the base at Numinbah Valley where we meet our bus transfer back to Binna Burra.  This is a mostly downhill walk with some very steep sections of slippery shale.  A challenging but rewarding 15km hike.

This exclusive 5-day journey in time traverses the southern mountains and valleys of Scenic Rim - from Binna Burra to O’Reilly’s, on to the Lost World Valley and Mt Barney National Park. One of Binna Burra’s founders and Australian conservationist, journalist, and author, Arthur Groom advocated for the preservation of much of the Scenic Rim Mountain ranges. We follow some of Arthur’s footsteps on half and full-day walks in the Queensland Gondwana Rainforests and see his aspirations and visions realised in World Heritage listed national parks and local community experiences. 5 day/4 night tour including accommodation in Binna Burra, O’Reillys, Lost World Valley and Mt Barney.
